Cassie Conure
A portrait of a friend's blue-crowned conure set in tropical foliage. The borders echo the bird's feathers.
I created this art quilt from a single piece of dye-painted silk. I painted the silk with liquid dyes and acrylic paint, and then machine quilted the entire piece. I also hand embellished it with yarn and beads.
